Market Harborough Power Cut Lasts Over Seven Hours
Written by HFM News on 5th October 2026
Some homes and businesses in Market Harborough were without electricity for more than seven hours yesterday.
Nearly 2,000 properties in the north of the town were initially affected by the outage, which began shortly after 9am.

All supplies were restored by just before 4.30pm.
National Grid Electricity Distribution says the problem was caused by a fault on a power line.
The company has thanked customers for their patience while the fault was being fixed.
