Market Harborough Man Remanded Over Attempted Robbery

A Market Harborough man has appeared in court charged with an attempted robbery at a shop in the town.
Simon Harrold, 33, of Andrew Macdonald Close, is accused of trying to steal money from the till at Keya News on Logan Street on January 22nd.
He also faces charges of possessing a knife in a public place on the same day.

In addition, Harrold is charged with multiple offences in Leicester, including:

Attempted robbery of a man on January 21st.

Theft from shops, including gold rings from H Samuels Jewellers and Warren James Jewellers, and items from Tesco.

Possessing an imitation firearm with intent to commit robbery.
Harrold appeared at Leicester Magistrates’ Court yesterday and has been remanded in custody to appear at Leicester Crown Court next month.
