Market Harborough Gym Ceases Trading With Immediate Effect

Written by on 19th December 2022

A popular Market Harborough gym has closed down.

Gym11, based on the Riverside Industrial Estate, has cited the recent energy and cost of living crisis for the decision, saying it was no longer viable to keep the business going.

A statement on the gym’s Facebook page reads: “With a heavy heart I must inform you that Gym11 has ceased trading with immediate effect.

“Post Covid was a challenging time for all small businesses, the gym industry was particularly hard hit in that time, recently the Energy Crisis/ cost of living crisis meant that it was no longer viable to keep the Gym open.

“I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your friendship and support over the last number of years.

“The young people who came from school every evening I will miss your enthusiasm for keeping fit and getting strong , I hope you all find a new place to continue that good work.

“I have to give a special thanks to Tom place for his dedication and friendship while working at Gym11, along with every other member of staff we’ve had through the years thank you all so much.”
