Market Harborough Businesses Targeted in Overnight Burglaries

Police are appealing for information after two businesses on St Mary’s Road in Market Harborough were burgled overnight.
Cash was stolen from Ascough’s Bistro, while Synergy Dancewear was also targeted, although it is not yet known what, if anything, was taken.

The latest incidents follow a series of break-ins at town centre businesses earlier this month, including Lilybelle Beauty and Nails on St Mary’s Road, ladies clothing store Bebooted on Church Square, and Nathan Smith Tattoo Studio on Manor Walk.
Windows were smashed in each case, with bricks used to force entry, and CCTV footage is believed to show the same man entering two of the premises.

Following the incidents at the start of the month, Insp Chris Day, commander of the Market Harborough and Wigston Neighbourhood Policing Area, said he recognises the impact on business owners and the wider community, adding that officers are working to identify and arrest a suspect, alongside increased patrols in the town centre.
Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity overnight or has information about the burglaries is urged to come forward.
