Man Taken To Hospital After Chemical Alert Near Theddingworth

A man has been taken to hospital after becoming unwell while mixing chemicals at a property near Theddingworth.

Emergency services were called to Mowsley Road just before 12.30pm and a cordon put in place for safety reasons.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police told HFM: “The man, who is in his 60s, was taken to hospital by East Midlands Ambulance Service as a precaution.

“For safety reasons, a cordon was put in place in the area while emergency services attended the scene.

“The incident has now been contained and there is no threat or danger to the wider public.

“Emergency services remain in the area at this time.”
