Man Sentenced After Fight In Market Harborough

A man has been handed a community order and ordered to pay compensation after a fight with another man in Market Harborough last month.
Larry Connors, 23, admitted he was too drunk to remember why the brawl started outside the Co-op on Leicester Road, when he appeared before Leicester Magistrates’ Court.
Witnesses described about a dozen punches being thrown, with the other man ending up with a broken nose.
The Court heard Police officers caught up with Connors outside Brooke House College – where he threw a further punch, smashing a window of the private school.
Both men were arrested and taken to Leicester Royal Infimary for treatment, but told Police they didn’t want to support any prosecution against one other.
Connors, of Lower Ecton Lane, Northampton, pleaded guilty to criminal damage and using threatening behaviour on the evening of September 10th.
He was ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work and to pay £300 compensation for the cost of repairs to the college window.
