Man Handed Suspended Jail Term After Breaking Into Market Harborough Coffee Shop

A man has been handed a suspended jail sentence after breaking into a Market Harborough coffee shop.

Paul Alayla stole an empty till, milk and hand soap from Blend Coffee and Cakes, in Manor Walk, during the early hours of Friday.

He smashed a window in the front door to get in and after being identified was arrested by Police on Saturday, when officers spotted him in the town centre.

Alayla, 49, of Jubilee Gardens, Market Harborough, pleaded guilty to burglary at Leicester Magistrates and was given a 10-week prison term, suspended for 12 months.

Staff at the shop are thanking people for their support and help following the incident.
