A Market Harborough man has been charged with breaching coronavirus regulations after a Traveller funeral in Kettering.
About 150 mourners turned out to celebrate the life of Joe Rooney from Corby, who died in a car crash, during the second lockdown in November.
Hundreds later joined a wake in a field with a marquee as police installed roadblocks to close it off.
Under emergency restrictions at the time, individuals were only allowed to meet with one other person outdoors in a public place.
Patrick James Rooney, 48, from Greenacres, Leicester Road, is due to appear before Magistrates next month, accused of participating in a gathering of two or more people in a public place, on November 5th.
