Man Arrested After Young Girl Approached In Great Glen

Police have made an arrest after a young girl was approached by a man in Great Glen.

It happened on Ashby Rise just before 8.30am on Wednesday, when a man ‘tapped her on the shoulder.’

He did not speak to the girl and although not injured, she was left shaken by the incident.

Officers have this afternoon arrested a 62-year-old man in connection with the incident and he remains in custody.

Patrols have been stepped up in the area and Police have been liaising with the girl’s school as enquiries continue.
