Logan Ward Lib Dem Success

The Liberal Democrats have retained their contested seat on Harborough
District Council following Thursday’s by-election (29th September).

The vote was needed after the previous Councillor for Market
Harborough’s Logan Ward resigned earlier this year.

Counting took place straight after the polls closed last night.

The Lib-Dems’ Geraldine Whitmore was duly elected as the Ward’s new
representative with 582 votes.

Conservative James Cutsworth was second with 382, Labour’s Maria Panter
third with 250 and Independent Robin Lambert received 60 votes.

The turnout was 30.61%.
