Lit Firework Launched Through Letterbox Of Harborough House

A lit firework was launched through the letterbox of a house in Market Harborough.

It happened in Shropshire Place just before 9pm on Sunday evening and Police believe it was connected to an assault on a man near-by.

Luckily no one was injured and the firework did not set fire to anything inside the property.

Fire crews were sent to the house and Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service say minor damage was caused to the letterbox and wall of the property.

Police are linking the incident with an assault on a man in The Broadway a few minutes before, during which he sustained minor injuries and say enquiries have been conducted into both incidents.
