Last Chance To Apply For Primary School Places
Written by HFM News on 8th January 2024
If your child is starting school for the first time this September there’s just a week left to apply for a place.
Leicestershire County Council is urging parents to make sure they pick their preferred options, which for the first time include the new Wellington Place Primary School currently being built on the Airfield Farm Estate in Market Harborough.
Wellington Place Primary School is currently under construction
There is no automatic entry for any school and any 2024 first-time primary applications made after the closing date of 15 January 2024 will be processed after those made on time.
Families are encouraged to select three schools, including one in their catchment area, to have the best chance of securing a place at a local school.
Parents and carers can find out more and apply by visiting www.leicestershire.gov.uk/admissions
Allocated school places will be announced on national offer days – March 1 2024 (secondary) and April 16 2024 (primary).
