Knifeman Threatens Staff At Kibworth Shop

A masked robber armed with a knife threatened staff at the Kibworth Convenience Store this afternoon, but fled empty-handed.

He went into the Premier Express shop on Fleckney Road and demanded money from the till.

Eyewitnesses have told Hfm he was seen running from the scene with the knife still in his hand, wearing a white ‘dust mask’.

Police say the were called at 2.10pm and officers, including a dog handler were sent to the scene in a bid to trace the robber, although as yet he has not been arrested.

Officers say no-one was injured and nothing was stolen.

The shop has been cordoned off while forensic investigations were carried out.

House-to-house enquiries have been carried out and Police are appealing for witnesses.
