Kibworth Firefighters To Scale Ben Nevis In Full Fire Kit

A team of firefighters from Kibworth are taking on a big challenge today as they climb Ben Nevis in their full fire kit.

They are scaling the famous Scottish mountain to raise money for the Fire Fighters charity and The Well Community Hub in the village.

The team, who will be wearing fire kit weighing 25kg, set a sponsorship target of £1,345 – one pound for each metre climbed from the base to the summit of the UK’s highest mountain – but have already surpassed that and the total now stands at over £1,800.
