Investigation After Man Dies In Kibworth

Police are investigating the death of a man in Kibworth Harcourt.

He was discovered injured in a garden area behind flats in Glebeland, on the Kibworth Meadows estate, just after 7.30am yesterday.

The Ambulance Service attended, but the man in his 30s could not be saved.

Officers say they are treating the death as unexplained – a 33-year old-man from Market Harborough was arrested as part of the investigation and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Kevin Feltham, Chairman of Kibworth Harcourt Parish Council, told Hfm people are in the village are in a state of shock:

Enquiries into the circumstances of how the man sustained his injuries are continuing.

Detective Inspector Simon Boden is leading the investigation. He said: “We are working to establish exactly what has happened and the cause of the man’s death.

“We want to speak to anyone who was in the area of Glebeland last night and this morning. Were you inside the property or do you know someone who was?

“Have you heard people talking about what happened? We need to speak to you.

“If you have any information – no matter how small you think it is – contact us.”
