Leicestershire Police are investigating after a hunt saboteur was struck by a car while monitoring a hunt near Oakham yesterday.
The woman aged in her 40s, a member of the Northants Hunt Saboteurs group, was taken to hospital for treatment following the incident just before midday, on Braunston Road in Knossington,
The incident was filmed by a fellow activist and shows the driver of the car not stopping at the scene.
The group says the woman was ‘deliberately’ hit by the driver.
Officers say the woman suffered injuries which are not life-threatening or life-changing and following initial enquiries, the driver of the car has been identified.

Detective Inspector Charles Edwards said: “Our investigation into this incident is in its early stages.
“We’re aware of a video of the incident which has been posted online. I would ask that people do not share anything that could impact our enquiries.
“However, I would ask anyone who was in the area and saw what happened – or who has footage of the incident or events leading up to and after it – to come forward.”
