Inspector Rejects Homes Appeal

A government planning inspector has ruled houses can’t be built on a park area used by villagers in Church Langton.

Although Harborough Council threw out the proposal last year, owners of the land The Diocese of Leicester, challenged the decision.

The Inspector’s agreed putting up five homes on land at the back of the Hanbury Centre, on Stonton Road, would cause significant harm to the local community, as it’s one of the only safe places for children to play and people to walk dogs.
