Hunt Continues For Shop Burglar

Police say they are determined to catch a burglar targeting shops in Market Harborough town centre.

Officers say the same man has been responsible for the spate of smash and grab raids, which have seen concrete blocks used to smash glass in doors.

Eateries Subway, Papa John’s and Pizzaman have been among the premises targeted in recent weeks, with small amounts of cash stolen.

The burglaries have caused concern amongst traders and some have put signs up highlighting the fact no cash is kept inside overnight.

Sergeant Pete Jelbert told HFM the investigation is progressing and is encouraging anyone with information to pass it on:
