Hunt Continues For Men Who Absconded from Open Prisons

Police are continuing efforts to locate two men with links to Market Harborough who remain on the run after absconding from open prisons last year.
Patrick Gavin, 36, walked out of HMP Sudbury in Derbyshire on October 24th.

He was serving a five-year, one-month sentence for grievous bodily harm with intent following a stabbing in Desborough in 2020 and has not been recaptured.
Darren O’Halloran, 40, absconded from HMP Leyhill in Gloucestershire on December 10th and also remains on the run.

He was serving a 12-year sentence for burglary offences, having been convicted in 2023 for his role in more than 50 burglaries across the West Midlands, where jewellery and cash worth around £300,000 were stolen.
O’Halloran also has links to Bitteswell near Lutterworth, Bristol, Birmingham, and Limerick in Ireland.
Anyone who sees either man, or has information about their whereabouts, is urged to contact Police.
