Historic Train Steams Through Market Harborough

People gathered to watch a historic steam train head through Market Harborough on Saturday.
The ‘Duchess of Sutherland’ locomotive passed through the town’s station just after 9am and returned just after 6.30pm, as part of a ‘Yuletide Express’ rail tour to and from York.
Rail enthusiasts and others watched from the platform as the train, built in 1938, steamed through.
It was the first time a steam train had passed through Market Harborough for several years.
