Highway Works Complete Ahead Of Aldi Opening

Major highway improvement work on Rockingham Road is Market Harborough has been completed ahead of the opening of a new Aldi store.

The seven-week project near the Gores Lanes junction involved widening the carriageway to create a new turning lane and constructing a new junction at the entrance to the store.

The work, funded by Aldi, led to delays for drivers as three-way temporary traffic lights were in place and the road was closed for several nights.

The new Aldi store, which will replace the discount retailer’s existing shop on Springfield Street, will open this Thursday.
