Pub To Re-Open After Flood Caused Major Damage

A popular pub in Little Bowden will re-open this evening after flooding caused thousands of pounds worth of damage.
The Cherry Tree has been shut for over two weeks to allow for major clean-up and repair work to take place, including installing new flooring and carpets.
Landlady Karen Evans is preparing to welcome customers back this evening
The pub was one of several properties flooded in Little Bowden when the River Jordan burst its banks during Storm Burt on November 24th.
It was the first time the premises had flooded in the 16 years landlord and landlady, Phil North and Karen Evans have been there.
Work has also taken place to allow for flood defence gates to be placed over the doors of the pub in the event of any future flood risk.
