Plans have been unveiled for a new illuminated sculpture at Market Harborough’s Friendship Park.
The three-metre-tall cylindrical steel artwork will feature friendship-themed words and phrases, which will be projected onto the park’s pathways after dark.

The sculpture will be installed in the Northampton Road park at a cost of around £10,000, funded by Harborough District Council’s contractor, FCC Environment, who carried out the groundworks to create the park earlier this year.
It will be located on the site of a former mobile phone mast, pending planning permission being granted.
