Head-On Crash On Lathkill Street

A driver suffered minor injuries after a head-on crash in a Market Harborough street this morning.

Emergency services at the scene

Emergency services were called to Lathkill Street at 8am following the collision between a Volvo and Renault close to the junction with Caxton Street.

The driver of the Volvo, a man in his 20s, was assisted out of the vehicle by firefighters, before being taken to hospital.

The road was closed while emergency services worked at the scene and the cars were recovered.

Desborough Crash

Meanwhile, a teenage motorcyclist was taken to hospital after a crash just outside Desborough yesterday.

The 18-year-old man came off his bike on Stoke Albany Road at around 4.15pm.

The rider was taken to the University Hospital in Coventry with injuries Police describe as ‘not life-threatening.’

No other vehicles were involved.
