Have Your Say On LCC Budget Plan
Written by HFM News on 18th December 2025
Residents and businesses are being asked to have their say on Leicestershire County Council’s draft budget plans.
A month-long consultation has launched today, setting out how the authority plans to manage rising costs and demand.
The proposals include an extra £131m for social care and outline the impact of a possible 2.99% council tax rise, though the final decision will not be made until February.
The council is also looking to make savings of £45m, as part of a wider effort to close a projected 106 million pound budget gap by 2030.
