Controversial plans to build 28 affordable homes between Kibworth Beauchamp and Smeeton Westerby are set to be refused.
More than 200 objections have been submitted over the proposal for four acres of fields off Smeeton Road, including citing concerns over highway safety, the loss of separation land between the two villages and the proximity to electricity pylons.

Planning officers at Harborough District Council say the development would harm the landscape and erode the separation between the two villages, causing unacceptable impact on the rural character of the area.
Councillors are being urged to reject the application at a meeting next week.
