Harborough’s B&M Staff To Get Extra Week’s Wages

Workers at B&M in Market Harborough are to get an extra week’s wages in recognition of their ‘considerable efforts’ over the festive period.

Staff at the store on Rockingham Road are among 24,000 nationwide to be getting the bonus.

The discount retailer celebrated a successful Christmas, with sales in the last 13 weeks up 7.1% on last year.

Chief executive Simon Arora said: “The group has delivered a very strong Golden Quarter, with our two-year like-for-like performance demonstrating strong retention of new customers.

“I would like to thank all of our colleagues for helping to deliver our best-ever Christmas.”
