Market Harborough was treated to a special fly-past by the Red Arrows this afternoon.

Pilots, incluidng the town’s very own Flight Lieutenant Patrick Kershaw, activated smoke as the flew over at 3.10pm.

Known as ‘Red 3,’ Flt Lt Kershaw was selected to join the elite RAF display team last year, after passing vigorous assessments to secure his place in the world-famous unit.

He had promised to give Market Harborough ‘a wave’ whenever he flew over.
