Harborough Police To Tackle ‘Park Yobs’

Police have pledged to take action against a minority of youths causing problems in parks across Harborough.
There has been an increase in reports of drunken anti-social behaviour including at the Symington’s Recreation Ground in Market Harborough and Little Bowden Recreation Ground.
Officers are using powers enabling them to confiscate alcohol from adults, but say under-age drinking is also happening, and a quantity of alcohol has already been seized.
They say letters will be sent to those causing constant problems – or their parents – warning they could be issued a Criminal Behaviour Order if their bad behaviour continues, which could include banning them from certain areas.
