Harborough MP Spearheads Plan To Make It Easier To Get GP Appointment

Harborough’s MP is spearheading a government drive to improve people’s ability to get a GP Appointment.
Through his role as Health Minister, Neil O’Brien has announced a plan including funding new services in pharmacies and allowing more patients to refer directly to hospital consultants, to take pressure off GP’s.
The government says move is expected to free-up around 15 million appointments over two years, with the goal to end the 8am ‘rush’ to try and get to see a doctor.
