Harborough Charity Stalwart Recognised In King’s Birthday Honours

The former manager of a Market Harborough charity has been recognised in the King’s Birthday Honours list.
Maureen O’Malley has been handed a British Empire Medal for services to the community in the town.
She spent 30 years working for Voluntary Action South Leicestershire and headed-up the charity for 12 years until retiring at the end of 2023.

Maureen, from Market Harborough, was a regular guest on HFM during VASL’s monthly Breakfast Show slot and will be presented with her medal later this year.
She will also be invited to a garden party at Buckingham Palace.
