Harborough Charity and MP Back Social Media Ban for Under-16s

A Market Harborough anti-bullying charity and the town’s MP have welcomed government plans to ban under-16s from using social media.
The Prime Minister says children will be blocked from accessing platforms including TikTok, Instagram and Facebook from early next year as part of efforts to “give children their childhoods back”.
Speaking to HFM, Marie Connor from charity HAB Anti-bullying and Mental Health, which supports young people with bullying and mental health issues, said the move was a positive step, but raised some concerns:
