Go-Ahead For New SEND School In Market Harborough

Plans have been approved for a new special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) school in Market Harborough.
The school will be based at the former Roman Way Community Centre and will cater for just under 90 pupils aged between five and 19, supported by more than 60 members of staff.
Education provider the Aurora Group has been granted planning permission, allowing work to begin on adapting the building.
This will include external alterations and the creation of a multi-use games area.
Planning permission has been granted for the new school
The new primary and secondary provision will support children and young people with SEND from Market Harborough and across Leicestershire, and is expected to open in autumn 2026.
It will be known as Aurora Brampton Valley School.
A spokesperson for the Aurora Group said they were pleased planning permission had been granted and confirmed the school remains on track to open next year.
Established in 2015, the Aurora Group is one of the UK’s leading providers of education, care and support for children, young people and adults with SEND.
The Market Harborough school will become the group’s 28th school, college or residential home nationwide.
