Giggles Galore As Big Weekend Of Comedy Begins

There’ll be plenty of giggles as Harborough’s Big Weekend of comedy takes place.

Starting at Foxton Village Hall today, Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2020, Eric Rushton will be entertaining audiences this evening.

Tomorrow evening Harborough Market will host a variety of award winning comedians at an event hosted by Chris Brooker and 2019 UK Comedy Awards Comedian winners, The Raymond and Mr Timpkins Revue.

To round off the weekend on Sunday, Comedy Club 4 Kids starts at the Market Hall at 2pm and a second mixed bill at 7:30pm, will include Sarah Johnson, Peter Brush and Britain’s Got Talent Finalist Robert White performing live.

The events are part of the Leicester Comedy Festival’s 30th year and are being supported by Harborough District Council and Market Harborough Building Society.

Gail Bates, the council’s market and events manager, told HFM the Market Hall will be transformed into a theatre from tomorrow afternoon:
