Arts Fresco Seeks New Volunteers To Secure Festival’s Future
Written by HFM News on 12th October 2026
Organisers of one of Market Harborough’s most popular free events are looking for new people to join the committee and help secure its future.
Arts Fresco has brought professional street theatre to the town centre for more than 20 years, showcasing performers from across the UK and Europe.
The annual festival took a break in 2026 and is due to return in 2027, but organisers say more volunteers are needed to help make that possible.
A public meeting will take place tomorrow evening (Tueaday October 13th), from 7.30pm to 9pm at The Lounge in Harborough Theatre.
The meeting is open to anyone interested in getting involved.

Neil Kitson, chair of the Arts Fresco organising committee, said: “Arts Fresco is run by a dedicated core team of volunteers, all of whom give their time freely and have been supporting the festival for several years now.
“Resources are becoming a critical issue to support the festival going forward, so we’re holding this public event to potentially recruit new committee members who could eventually take over the running of Arts Fresco.”
Organisers hope new volunteers will bring fresh ideas and help shape the future of the free, one-day street theatre festival.
