Further Delay To Water Leak Repairs In Market Harborough

There has been a further delay in repairing a water leak on Northampton Road in Market Harborough.
Severn Trent Water says engineers were on-site last night, but discovered ‘complications’ with the burst pipe near the Caxton Street junction.
They are now set to return this evening to carry out the repair.
The leak has been on-going for several days and causing flooding, with temporary traffic lights in operation.

A Severn Trent spokesperson said: “Our engineers were on site last night, however they discovered complications with the burst which have delayed the repair.
“These issues have been addressed this morning and the crew will be returning to the site this evening.
“This repair is being made overnight to minimise disruption to customers’ water supplies.
“We are working hard to repair this main and get everything back to normal as quickly as possible.”
