Fundraising Drive Launched To Help Harborough Teenager
Written by HFM News on 4th August 2022
A fundraising drive is underway to help a Market Harborough teenager who has a very rare condition which affects his muscles.
Milosz Leska, 14, has Myotubular Myopathy, which affects one in 100,000 people and causes muscle weakness, including the muscles which control breathing and swallowing.

Milosz needs specialist physiotherapy sessions weekly, but his family is struggling to afford the cost, after a charity said it could no longer help fund them and no support is offered by the NHS.
He uses a wheelchair, but the sessions help to build strength and with the regular treatment the teenager can take some steps.
The parents of Milosz, who attends Welland Park Academy, are trying to raise over £3,000 to fund the yearly cost of the treatment, provided in Bedfordshire by a therapist, who has worked with their son since he was 10 months old.
Already over £1,700 has been raised.
Milosz’s Dad Mike told HFM the treatment is vital for his son and he and his family are grateful for all the donations so far:
