Developer Challenges Council Over New Homes Rejection

Controversial plans to build new homes on the edge of Church Langton will be the subject of an appeal.
A developer is challenging Harborough District Council’s decision to refuse planning permission for eight houses on fields off Church Causeway in the village.
Councillors ruled the development would harm the rural character of the area when they considered the application in December last year.
A number of villagers had also raised concerns about the plan.
A government-appointed planning inspector will now review the decision after the appeal was lodged with the Planning Inspectorate.
