Fundraiser Invites Community to Final Burpee Challenge

A Market Harborough man is inviting the community to join him as he completes the final day of a gruelling fundraising challenge for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).
Scott Castell, who recently turned 40 has been performing 400 chest-to-floor burpees every day for the past 40 days to mark the milestone birthday.

His efforts have so far raised nearly £2,000 in sponsorship for the charity, which funds research and support for people living with motor neurone disease and their families.
Scott, an A&E doctor, was inspired to take on the challenge after former England and Leicester Tigers rugby player Lewis Moody was diagnosed with MND — the player who first motivated him to take up rugby as a student.
He will complete the final session at Welland Park at 10am tomorrow and is encouraging residents to come along to take part, cheer him on, or simply show their support:
