Free Tack Marking Event For Horse Owners

Horse owners and riders can help protect their equipment at a free tack marking event in Market Harborough tomorrow. (Saturday)
Northamptonshire Police have teamed up with Welland Valley Feeds to host it at their base on Rockingham Road between 10am and 2pm.
The event is in support of Operation Gallop, which is a national police initiative dedicated to tackling crimes affecting the equestrian community.
The security marking aims to deter thieves by making items like saddles and bridles uniquely identifiable and therefore harder to sell on.
People going along tomorrow should take valid ID with them to get their equipment marked.
