Four Days Of Strikes To Disrupt Train Services From Market Harborough

Written by on 4th October 2022

Train passengers are being warned of more disruption as East Midlands Railway staff prepare to stage four days of strike action.

There will be no services at all through Market Harborough tomorrow (Wednesday) when members of drivers’ union ASLEF walkout in a continued dispute over pay and conditions.

Then on Thursday and Friday, members of the Unite Union will be striking – meaning services will be limited to one per hour in both directions, and only run between 7.30am and 6.30pm.

A similar skeleton service is expected on Saturday when members of RMT will be walking out again – meaning a later start on Sunday.

EMR is advising people not to travel by train on these days, unless absolutely necessary.
