Fire Wrecks House In Desborough

A man was taken to hospital with burns to his hands after a fire ripped through a house in Desborough last night.
Three fire crews battled the blaze in Matlock Way for over two hours, after being called just after 10.15pm.
The occupant of the house was able to get out before they arrived.

The fire started upstairs and left all rooms completely gutted – there was smoke and water damage to the rest of the property.

An investigation to determine the cause of the fire is underway and crews have returned to the street today to offer reassurance to other residents and fire safety advice.
