I told my map a joke …. It laughed so hard it lost its bearings!

‘Well, I’ve got it all mapped out!’ – a familiar comment made when planning a trip or event.

The history of Maps and Mapping is a fascinating one, especially when you are using local maps that go back centuries. At our next meeting on Tuesday 11th August @ 7.30pm Michael Weedon at Lubenham Village Hall, Laughton Road, Lubenham LE16 9TE will be using maps from the archives to reveal local history in a novel way.

We wish you a warm welcome to our meetings held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at Lubenham Village Hall looking at various aspects of our local and national history, customs, architecture, and developments that affected our village of Lubenham.

Membership is £15.00 per annum with reduced entry cost to meetings of £2.00 and Members’ visits to interesting places during the year. The cost for non-members £4.00 per meeting. There is time to chat and socialise over tea/coffee and biscuits and naturally to ask questions of our speaker.
