Emergency repairs to a sunken fire hydrant are causing delays for drivers in Market Harborough.
Severn Trent Water is working on Springfield Street, close to the entrance to the Sainsbury’s car park, with temporary traffic lights replacing the normal signals at the junction.
Traffic has been building-up on all approaches and also within the car park itself.

Work on Springfield Street is causing delays
It has not yet been confirmed when the work will be finished.
A Severn Trent spokesperson said: “We are currently working on site at Springfield Street to repair a sunken fire hydrant in the road.
“As this is emergency work, we set up traffic management to keep everyone safe and for us to be able to fix the issue as quick as possible.
“We are hopeful that work will be complete soon.”
