Driver Flees After Van Overturns

Harborough Police are investigating after a van flipped on to its side in the early hours of New Year’s Day.

Officers were called to outside the church on Main Street in Tugby, at 4.30am, although the driver had fled the scene.

The Ford Transit Connect had collided with a parked car before overturning and it’s suspected the crash is alcohol related, after a number of empty alcohol bottles were found in the footwell.

Inquiries to determine who was driving the van are continuing – anyone with information is urged to call Police on 101.
