Drink/Drug Drive Figures ‘Very Disappointing’

Over 230 drivers were arrested on the roads of Leicestershire and Northamptonshire during December.
Police have released figures from drink and drug drive campaigns held in the run-up to Christmas.
In Leicestershire 75 drivers failed road-side breath tests and 18 were found under the influence of drugs, while in Northamtonshire the figures were 95 and 37 respectively.
Across the Harborough district six arrests were made – three men and three women – including in Kibworth, Great Glen, Billesdon and West Langton, four of which were at the scene of crashes.
