Drink/Drug Drive Arrests Now Over 100

Over 120 drivers have been charged with driving while over the alcohol limit or under the influence of drugs, on Leicestershire and Northamptonshire’s roads so far this month.

Police have been setting up check sites on various roads

Police in Leicestershire have charged 66 people with drink-driving and 15 with drug-driving – an increase on the numbers at this point during their Christmas campaign last year.

In Northamptonshire, 38 people have so-far been charged – Police are naming all of them:

Anna De Winter, 19, of The Green, Flore, was charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit after colliding with a fence. De Winter will appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 3.
Robin Porter, 68, of Latham Street, Brigstock, Kettering, was charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit after members of the public reported him driving whilst drunk. Porter will appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 3.
Deepak Patel, 45, of Shakespeare Road, Northampton, was charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit after being stopped driving by officers. Patel will appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, January 8.
Valeriu Sirbu, 37, of Wellington Street, Kettering, was charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit following a collision whereby he hit a parked car. Sirbu will appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, January 8.
Jamie Sharp, 24, of Minerva Way, Wellingborough, was charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit after being identified on CCTV swerving and driving poorly. Sharp will appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday, January 14.
Simon Towler, 34, of Westfield Avenue, Rushden, was charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit after crashing his car on the A45 near Stanwick Lakes. Towler will appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, January 2.
Victoria Fitzmartin, 35, of Ecton Park Road, Northampton, was charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit after crashing her car into parked vehicles. Fitzmartin will appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 3.
Derek Lemon, 71, of Rookery Lane, Northampton, was charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit after being stopped driving by officers. Lemon will appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday, February 25.
Andrew Faulkner, 28, of Wappenham Road, Towcester, was charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit after crashing his car into a field. Faulkner will appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 3.
Abisola Ogebule, 48, of Lombardy Court, Northampton, was charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit after being stopped driving by officers. Ogebule will appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday, January 14.
Constantin Marin, 29, of Delapre Street, Northampton, was charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit after being stopped driving by officers. Marin will appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 3.
Anne Carter, 43, of Crow Lane, Northampton, was charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit after being stopped driving by officers. Carter will appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 3.
Tara Whelan, 33, of Allen Road, Finedon, was charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit after members of the public called the police. Carter will appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 3.
Katarzyna Madej, 40, of Elton Street, Corby, was charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit after losing control of her vehicle and colliding with an electricity box in Cottingham Road, Corby. Madej will appear at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday, December 31.
Vasili Secara, 29, of Violet Close, Corby, was charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit after losing control of his vehicle and colliding with a road sign in Oakley Road, Corby. Secara will appear at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday, December 31
Jenny Jasim, 36, of Lower Harlestone, was charged with driving while over the prescribed limit after being stopped by police on Bridge Street in Northampton. She will appear at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, December 27.
Anthony Stoppani, 46, from Yardley Gobion, was charged with driving while over the prescribed limit after being stopped by police on A43 near Towcester, He will appear at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, December 27.
Brian Walker, 27, of Rodney Drive, Corby, was charged with driving while over the prescribed limit after being stopped by police on Gainsborough Road, Corby. He will appear at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 24, January.
Andrian Cebotari, 30, of Llwellyn Walk, Corby, was a charged with driving while over the prescribed limit on London Road, Kettering, after colliding with a fence. He will appear at Northampton Magistrates Court on Monday, January 7.
Joseph Cater, 23, of Boughton Lane, Northampton, was charged with driving while over the prescribed limit after colliding with street furniture on the A45 at Earls Barton. He will appear at Northampton Magistrates Court on Thursday, December 27.
Ricky Bizimana, 31, of Kinross Drive, Bletchley, was charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit after going through a red light witnessed by officers on St James Road in Northampton. He will appear at Northampton Magistrates Court on Monday, January 7.
Ronald Chinosengwa, 32, of Goulsbra Road, Rushden, was charged with driving while over the prescribed limit after officers found him asleep and blocking a driveway on Bertone Road, Barton Seagrave. He will appear at Northampton Magistrates Court on Monday, January 7.
Razvan Cilof, 34, of Cedar Road, Northampton, was charged with driving while over the prescribed limit, driving with no insurance and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, after being involved in a road traffic collision on St Andrews Road, Northampton. He will appear at Northampton Magistrates Court on Monday, December 31.
Chawa Chinkhumba, 28, of Castle Rock Drive, Corby, was charged with driving while over the prescribed limit after being involved in a road traffic collision on Dunedin Road, Corby. He will appear at Northampton Magistrates Court on Monday, December 31.
Brian Devlin, 41, of Barnsley Square, Corby, was charged with driving while over the prescribed limit after being stopped by police on Jubilee Avenue, Corby. He will appear at Northampton Magistrates Court on Monday, December 31.
John Sanderson, 27, of Smestow Street, Wolverhampton, was charged with driving while over the prescribed limit and driving without insurance after being stopped on Stamford Road, Kettering. He will appear at Northampton Magistrates Court on the Thursday, December 27.
Adrian Proctor, 36, of Arnull Crescent, Daventry, was charged with driving while over the prescribed limit after losing control of his car and crashing into a ditch on Welsh Lane, Thenford. He will appear at Northampton Magistrates Court on the Thursday, December 27.
Susan Moulton, 45, of Wards Court, Brough, East Riding of Yorkshire, was charged with driving while over the prescribed limit after members of the public phoned in and reported her driving on Heyford Lane, Weedon Bec. She will appear at Northampton Magistrates Court on the Monday, January 7.
John Partington, 33, of Osmund Drive, Northampton, was charged with driving while over the prescribed limit after being involved in a collision on Kettering Road, Northampton. He will appear at Northampton Magistrates Court on the Thursday, December 27.
Melanie Baylis, 42, of Cross Lane, Braunston, was charged with failing to provide a sample of breath, driving otherwise than in accordance with a driving licence and for having no insurance. She will appear at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, December 20.
