Dog Owners Urged To Report ‘Poisoning’ Incidents
Written by HFM News on 16th April 2024
Dog owners who believe their pets may have been deliberately poisoned in Market Harborough are being urged to contact authorities.
It follows reports on social media that a dog died after eating poisoned chicken in the area of Welland Park, while others became ill after eating meat said to have been placed on the canal towpath.
However, Police and Harborough District Council say they have not been made aware of any incidents.
A council spokesperson told HFM: “We regularly carry out routine patrols of the area and have not received any reports of dogs being poisoned in Welland Park.
“We would encourage anyone who thinks their dog might have been poisoned to seek veterinary advice, report it to us and to the police.”
