Dining Facilities Transformed At Welland Park Academy

Dining facilities have been transformed at Market Harborough’s Welland Park Academy.

A new bigger dining room created, with brand new kitchen and menus overhauled so they are more nutritious.

Market Harborough’s Great British Bake Off winner Frances Quinn officially opened the new Dining Rooms, which can seat 300 students, more than double the previous room.

The school’s business manager Elaine Winn told HFM about the new menu:

The work to create the new room was funded through a Section 106 grant from Harborough District Council, where housing developers support community facilities.

The upgrade is part of on-going improvements at the school totalling £1m, which will also see a new Sports Hall and new outdoor All-Weather surface being used by students in the next few weeks.
