Detective Work Finds Missing Cat!

A cat that went missing has been reunited with its owners in Market Harborough after detective work found it had jumped into the back of a van that drove off.

Bootsy, a six-year-old female, called vanished last Thursday from the Rippin family’s home on The Woodlands.

Despite extensive searches round the estate for their beloved pet and putting up missing posters, there was no sign of her.

Steve Rippin then started trawling their home CCTV system for clues and saw it had captured the moment the cat had got into the van outside the house.

After finding out the vehicle had travelled five miles to Ashley straight afterwards, the search for Bootsy started in the village on Tuesday, as it was thought she would have got out of the van, despite the driver not noticing anything.

Steve’s Dad George posted missing leaflets through over a hundred doors and within an hour someone phoned to say Bootsy was in their garden.

He went straight round to pick her up and despite being hungry was safe and sound and is now back home following the adventure.
